Más allá de la memorización: percepciones estudiantiles sobre aprendizaje significativo en la universidad

Resumen

Pese a tres décadas de retórica sobre innovación educativa, la experiencia universitaria sigue tensionada entre la reproducción memorística y la promesa del aprendizaje significativo. Este estudio examina, desde la voz situada del estudiante, qué configuraciones pedagógicas activan el aprendizaje real en la universidad hondureña. Se aplicó una encuesta cualitativa con preguntas abiertas a 173 estudiantes universitarios de la Universidad Católica de Honduras (UNICAH), distribuidos en once campus y cinco departamentos del país, complementada con un análisis bibliométrico de 20 artículos indexados Q1–Q2 (2018–2026) sobre aprendizaje activo y significativo. El análisis siguió un diseño mixto secuencial exploratorio: codificación temática inductiva, frecuencia léxica y triangulación con literatura. Los resultados muestran que el 34.1 % de los estudiantes asocia el aprendizaje real con la aplicación práctica, el 17.3 % con dinámicas y participación, y el 9.8 % con ejemplos y casos reales; solo el 5.2 % menciona explicación docente o retroalimentación como vector primario. La memorización es reconocida como necesaria pero insuficiente cuando no se conecta con comprensión, aplicación o reflexión. Los ha lazgos convergen con la evidencia internacional sobre la superioridad pedagógica del aprendizaje activo y sugieren cinco principios de rediseño: experiencia situada, evaluación auténtica, ritmo metacognitivo, retroalimentación formativa y mediación docente como diseñador de significado. Se discuten implicaciones para la docencia universitaria y para el diseño de tecnologías educativas asistidas por inteligencia artificial.
